    Self-Care is Good for Business

    July 21, 2020
    5:15pm   Zoom opens
    5:30pm   Presentation

Over 50% of business owners work nine hour-plus days and 43% work weekends. But long hours don’t make you more effective: you’re wasting time spinning wheels because you’re too tired to think straight, and you risk burning out completely.

Not only does chronic high stress affect your cognitive functions, slowing your accuracy, response time and ability to make critical decisions; it’s been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer's.

Consider self-care an investment in your business. Three women business owners share self-care techniques that we can easily implement to manage stress and improve the quality of our lives.

Self-Care Energy Techniques with Debbie Jones
Debbie Jones will share simple, yet powerful self-care energy techniques that will help strengthen our immune systems, reduce tension and stress, and support the natural flow of energy in our bodies to promote health and healing.

    Fitness Fun with Debra Reis
Gentle movements to feel good in your mind and body.
Deb Reis will teach us fun moves from Nia fitness and Ageless Grace program that we can do in 5 minutes or less for stress management and well-being.

Use Yoga to Down-Regulate with Freia Ramsey
Freia Ramsey will share practices from her Yoga Toolbox for integrating downregulating practices into our daily lives. When we down-regulate, or turn off the stress response, throughout the day we learn how to relax and release tension from our minds and bodies in real-time and we build our resiliency to stress. These practices are simple and easy to do and the effects are felt immediately. You can practice in your work clothes from a chair.

This is a FREE virtual event; however, registration is required.
    REGISTRATION CLOSES on July 20 @ 3:00pm
Consider a virtual event donation to benefit the chapter.
You will receive a Zoom link at least 24 hours prior to the event.
